CHICAGO

for the first part of our summer holiday we went to chicago. as soon as we arrived we felt our pace slow down. There was a much more relaxed, laid back feel about this place which we both really loved.

we explored the loop, took pictures of the bean, ate deep pan pizza, admired the view from up high, watched a fantastic storm roll in, got stuck in the storm, enjoyed the architecture and cheered on the only brit in the triathlon! 

chicago was such a photogenic city, well we thought so, we do love a good city landscape these days! enjoy.

WE'VE ARRIVED

my last blog post was written with just one week left in new york and now as i write this we have been back in london for 3 weeks! time has just flown by. as you can imagine we have been pretty busy since i last wrote, packing up our lives in nyc and starting up here in london. we are finally finding our feet and can't wait to rediscover this city. 

but before that theres some rewinding to a month ago to do.....our last holidays in america!

CONEY ISLAND

can you believe we have just one week left in nyc?! where has these past 20 months gone? we've been busy getting ready to move, but making time to get out and tick off some places still on our list. 

about a month ago now we finally made it to coney island. it was a beautiful day so we wondered around, ate pizza on the beach and rode the ferris wheel before finishing off the day with a competitive game, 'shootin' some hoops'!

  

 

OUR NEXT ADVENTURE

'God may take us down paths we don't want to go, to places we never want to leave.'

i'm back after a pretty hefty absence from this blog. and i'm back with news. we are moving. moving to london. 

despite the fact that we came out to new york with a 20 month contract we always said that we would not move back to the uk just because 'our time was up'. so nearly six months ago we spent some time making a very difficult decision-what did we want the next season of our life to look like? we feel that london is the setting for this next season. we don't know what london has for us yet, we just feel called. the rest we are just trusting god for.

new york has been the setting for so much growth in our lives; we've learnt life lessons, made sacrifices, taken risks, dreamt big dreams and cried many a tear along the way, all within the most incredible community of friends. leaving this is so much more than just moving out of the city, we're ending an exceedingly pivotal chapter of our lives, a chapter that has changed our direction and started us on new paths we never dreamed of stepping foot down.

we're leaving new york city far richer than we left (not from a monetary perspective, new york certainly drains you of that!) and despite feeling totally overwhelmed with a tonne of emotions at my last day of work today we are excited about this next adventure, trusting with expectant hearts. 

before we make our move to london we're taking a long vacation and visiting some more of the states...so watch this space for the last of our american adventure.....this time around!
